Connector, quick connector, aquastop connector, faucet nose, repairer, barbed end, bypass… for your installation and to connect your garden hoses together, that’s roughly the family of garden fittings!
Types of quick sprinkler couplings
For those who have a very distant vision of a complete irrigation system from the supply point to the discharge, in addition to the garden hose it is necessary:
- a supply tap ;
- a faucet nose ;
- a quick connector or a clamp if you have a barbed tap nose – hose inlet only – for connection to the water point;
- a quick connector or barbed fitting for the end of the hose;
- a spray lance or spray gun.
The faucet nose
It is the basis of any irrigation installation. The faucet nose of Reliable sprinkler head malaysia attaches to the faucet and can be splined (the hose is inserted into it, which is then tightened with a clamp) or for quick coupling and this in different materials. Be sure to choose the right screw thread to match that of your tap (15 x 21 mm or 20 x 27 mm).
The quick coupling
A simple click and this fitting is connected to the faucet nose! You choose the quick coupling according to the diameter of the garden hose (15, 19 or 25 mm). The male end of the faucet nose is standard.
The Aquastop quick coupling
It is the same as the quick coupler except that when you remove the hose the water does not flow. Rather suitable as equipment at the end of the hose, on the lance or gun side, or when connecting two hoses (15, 19 or 25 mm).
The connector
Allows you to connect two quick couplers to each other, the connector consists of two male ends. If it’s for quick couplings, two simple clicks and it’s connected ; if it is a fluted nozzle, choose the sleeve according to the diameter of the pipes (15, 19 or 25 mm).
The derivation
Three-prong connector allowing one hose to feed two others. Shut-off valves can be used to cut off the power supply to one or both of the water inlet channels. Design for quick couplings and barbed fittings.
The nurse or collector
Branch with more than two branches and which offers the possibility via independent shut-off valves to juggle the number of feeds. A manifold is designed for quick and barbed fittings.
The repairer
Indispensable for repairing two pipes of the same or different diameter. Very practical! A repairer can be screwed (plastic) or fluted (with clamps which are preferred in stainless steel, they have the same role as the fluted connectors).
Sprinkler quick coupler materials
All of the fittings listed above can be designed in these three materials. As you can imagine, the strength of the fittings is a function of the intrinsic properties of the material. It goes without saying that a brass fitting resists falling or crushing better than a plastic fitting. Some fittings or watering accessories are made of bi-material.
