Despite all the possibilities offered by this technology, it is not infallible: who has not already found themselves cursing their router while their work or their video is interrupted by a WiFi signal that is too weak or nonexistent? A connection problem can have different causes, it can be due to your own device, the speed, or the WiFi signal. Here are some tips to solve your connection problems, from the most trivial to the most technical. The TM unifi coverage is a far better choice now.
Switch your Wifi signal off and on again
It is often the first thought that comes to us when the WiFi starts to fail and it is indeed the first reflex to have. Start by interrupting it from your device, computer, or mobile by turning off signal reception. This can be done from the icons on your desktop on your computer or from the control panel. If you are currently using your phone, a simple tap on the Wifi icon or switching to airplane mode should do the trick. You can also choose to restart your device, especially if you have a number of updates to do or recently made.
If the problems persist, you can turn your internet box off and on again, either with a button on the box or by simply unplugging the device. It may take a while for the signal to be transmitted again, so please be patient. If despite your efforts the connection is still not satisfactory, most routers have a reset or “Reset” button that you can press for a few seconds. Your router will then be restarted with its factory settings. It is also a good solution if you have forgotten your network password: after the reset, it will normally revert to the one registered under the router.
If you have the feeling that the problem is with your computer, take a few minutes to clean it and in particular check that the air vents are not blocked. Your device must not overheat.
Make sure you are receiving internet correctly
After all, the problem may not be with Wifi but rather with the internet speed that your box receives. In this case, it is normal that the signal relayed by the Wifi is weak. Check that all Ethernet cables are securely inserted at both ends and that they are in good condition. If the DSL indicator flashes on your box, it is a sign that the problem is potential with your speed. You need to move to Time Fibre service in that case.
